Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication

Creation date: 31/8/2026 3:45 pm    Updated: 21/9/2026 2:50 pm

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra identity check when you sign in to Engage.

At present, 2FA is optional and is enabled by each user on their own account.

Before you begin
  • Check that the email address shown on the Two Factor Authentication page is correct.
  • If you want to use mobile notifications, make sure you are logged in to the Engage mobile app.
Choose how to receive authentication requests
  1. Open your Two Factor Authentication settings in Engage.
  2. Confirm your preloaded email address.
  3. Choose Email or Mobile notification.
  4. Complete the on-screen steps to enable 2FA.

Important: If you select mobile notification but are not logged in to the Engage mobile app, Engage sends the authentication request by email instead.

Checking whether employees have enabled 2FA

Companies can use the Employee report in Report Builder to see whether individual users have enabled 2FA.

This reporting field provides visibility of 2FA adoption. It does not enable 2FA on the employee's behalf.
