Creating and Managing Audits and Events

Creation date: 11/10/2021 11:22 am    Updated: 20/9/2026 1:57 pm

Audits & Events provides a record of audits, drills, meetings and other organisational events that need to be documented in Engage.

Quick steps

  1. Go to Audits & Events and select New Event.
  2. Complete the event details and add attendees or viewers.
  3. Save the event.
  4. Add Actions or Documents as the work progresses.
1 Create the event
Open Audits & Events, select New Event, and complete the form. Fields marked with a red asterisk are mandatory.
2 Add attendees and viewers
Invite Engage employees or external people where required. Use Add View Only when an employee should see the event but not edit it.
3 Record follow-up work
Open the saved event to add Actions and supporting Documents. Assigned employees receive Action notifications and due dates.
4 Retain the audit history
Keep Actions, documents and updates against the event so they can be reviewed later for assurance or audit purposes.

Assign events and audits to groups

From the 21 September 2026 release, the assignment options include Branch Managers, Division Managers and Branch H&S Contacts. Select the appropriate group when assigning the event or audit.

Link forms to a calendar event

  1. Open the event setup on the web and complete the event details and assignment.
  2. Under Link forms to event?, select Yes.
  3. Select the relevant forms, then save the event.

For example, link a Site Safety Inspection form to a scheduled site audit so the person carrying out the audit can open the relevant form from the event.

Access linked forms on mobile

  1. Open Calendar from the bottom navigation in the Engage app.
  2. Find and open the event under Manually Created Events.
  3. In Event Details, scroll to Forms for this event.
  4. Tap the required form, then complete and submit it.

Form submission and event completion are tracked separately. Submitting a linked form does not mark the event as completed. Update the event separately as required.
