Setting up text to be displayed on your leave page

To set up unique text to be displayed on your leave application page (web and mobile), company administrators can go to Customer Admin / Organisation / Company / Edit and add text to the company edit page:



Once saved, the text will appear on the leave application tab (and mobile):



Applying for Leave - Web

To request leave, go to your employee profile and click on the "Leave" tab. (Or, if applying for leave on behalf of an employee, select the view icon against their profile on the employee listing page). If it is enabled, you can also click on the 'Book Leave' button on the Dashboard under Quick Links. To learn more about Quick Links, please click here. 

Click on the "Apply for Leave" button.



Fill in the relevant boxes. Note that boxes with a red asterisk are compulsory. The leave calculator uses the set Work Schedule against an employees profile to work out your hours / days of leave required. To learn more about Work Schedules, click here



Once saved, the manager of the employee will receive an automatic email specifying the leave requirements. The leave request can then be approved or declined.

If you have the ability to upload leave balances into Engage, the employee's leave balance will display on the Leave section and on the leave approval screen. As leave is applied for and approved, Engage will automatically adjust the leave balance, but this will be overwritten the next time the leave balance file is uploaded. Should the leave request be declined, the leave balance will return to its original number.

Applying for Leave - App

To apply for leave via the mobile app, click on 'Book Leave' on your main login screen. 



Complete the relevant form; the Calculated Leave Days and Calculated Leave Hours are automatically calculated based on the assigned work schedule, and the start date and end date chosen. 



Once saved, the manager of the employee will receive an automatic email specifying the leave requirements. The leave request can then be approved or declined as per above.

Leave requests can be cancelled if required before they are approved or declined. Your manager will receive your leave cancel request. Please talk to your payroll department or your manager if you wish to cancel leave after it has been approved by your manager.
