Kiosk Users

A Kiosk User in Engage is recommended in situations where a shared tablet may be used amongst a group of employees. By enabling the Kiosk User function, this disables most features on the app, including Your Profile, Training, Policies, Book Leave, Your Alerts, Your Actions, Place Order, Expense Claims, Emergency Contacts, and the Calendar. If staff try to access these modules while using a Kiosk User profile, they will see the following alert pop up: 




CREATING A KIOSK USER

To make a profile a Kiosk User, pop to Employees and 'Edit' the relevant kiosk user profile, then check the 'Kiosk User' flag. Please note, you will need to switch this function on in the Edit screen rather than the Create screen. 



You will then need to log in to the shared tablet / device with the login credentials of the Kiosk User. The login will allow users to access the Risk Register, Record an Incident, Record a Hazard, Forms*, Hazardous Substances*, and Feedback. 

*Please note these modules are additional to the Engage base package and may not be applicable. 


ALLOCATING FORMS TO KIOSK USERS

To allocate Forms to a Kiosk User, simply pop to Forms / Scheduler / "New Schedule". From here, select the relevant form from the Template drop-down, and ensure you have checked 'Kiosk User' against the schedule. Once assigned, the Kiosk User will see the selected forms on their Forms button on the app. 

 


Please note, the Kiosk User has been designed for shared tablets / devices that have the Engage app on it. We do not recommend logging in to the web with the Kiosk User profile.
