Meter-Based Maintenance
You are able to create Scheduled Maintenance or Meter Maintenance against an asset as required.
To add a new meter-based maintenance schedule against an asset, ensure that it has initially been created under the Asset Maintenance tab by clicking on Assets / Maintenance / 'New Maintenance'. Fill in the name of your maintenance, and ensure that your Schedule Type is 'Meter', then click save.
If you then pop to Assets / Assets / "View" the relevant asset, and click on Maintenance / Scheduled Maintenance / 'Assign Maintenance' button.
Select 'Meter' as your schedule type and type in your unit of measurement, and the meter limit of when your maintenance is required to be due (EG 1000 Hours). Your maintenance schedule will appear in a drop-down next to your entry. This keeps track of all assets assigned to this particular maintenance schedule.
Please note there is a limit of 2 meter-based maintenance schedules per asset.
If you select 'Yes' to priority maintenance on the dashboard, this maintenance will show up in a separate listing on the dashboard to allow you to see high importance maintenance when multiple records are due at once, helping you single out critical information.
Adding a Meter-Based Maintenance record
When it comes to adding a record of meter maintenance, you can either add this by Viewing the relevant asset, then popping to Maintenance / Meter Reading / 'Add Meter Reading'. When the reading is within 10% of when the maintenance is due, you can then record details of the maintenance under Maintenance / Scheduled Maintenance / 'Add Maintenance' under the Meter Maintenance section. Any maintenance added here will reset the counter to put you on track for the next time a service is due against the limit set.

Adding Meter-Based Maintenance to Forms
You have the ability to link meter-based asset maintenance to Forms, allowing employees to record meter readings on the go with the Engage app.
To set this up, ensure you have correctly categorised your Asset Attributes into your preferred categories. (Learn more about Asset Attributes here).
Create your form template by popping to Forms / Templates / 'New Template'. Ensure 'Asset Selector' is chosen, then 'Edit' the asset selector field, and select your attribute type. There is a check-box to allow meter readings against any assets selected from the Asset Type category if it has been set up as per above.
Any forms completed with the asset selected will show under the 'Forms' tab when viewing the asset. The entered Meter Reading will automatically populate under Asset Maintenance / Meter Reading as per above.
If you have any other queries about meter maintenance or any other queries about Engage, please feel free to contact support@engagesolutions.co.nz and we will respond to you as soon as we can.
