Uploading/Configuring Leave Balances

You have the ability to upload leave balance amounts into Engage if applicable. 

Engage also has the ability to form an API connection into a variety of payroll systems*. To learn more, please email support@engagesolutions.co.nz. 

*Please note this capability is dependent on the capacities of the payroll system and is not guaranteed for all systems. 

Configuring Leave Balances


If you pop to Customer Admin / Organisation / Companies / "Edit", you have the ability to set which Leave Balance File Format, as well as the balance Type (Hours or Days). Please note, only those with Admin: Companies authority will be able to view this page. 


Uploading Leave Balances

To upload the Leave Balance in the applicable File Format selected, click on Customer Admin / Organisation / Companies / "View" / Leave Balance tab. Please note, for this to work, the balance sheet needs to reflect the format selected as above. 



If you click on Add New Leave Balance Sheet and upload your document, this will filter through to the balances of employees. Note that the employee ID from your leave balance sheet will need to match the employee ID in Engage. 

If there are any rejected balances, these will show on the screen after the upload has been processed. After resolving the issues, you can then re-upload the new sheet as needed.
