'Asset' Authorities

Assets:

 If you apply View Only the employee will see:

  • Assets on their side menu, with the ability to see all company assets, asset attributes, and asset maintenance schedules.*

If you apply 'Manage' the employee will:

  • Be able to make amendments to any assets that have been assigned to them, including maintenance information.*

*Please note, the extent of what assets are seen depends on Admin authorities and assigning factors. This includes:
      • View Only: Employee Only + No Admin authorities - If this option is given plus Assets: View or Manage, they will only see assets that have been assigned to them. 
      • View Only: Employee and Managed Employees + Admin: Managed Employees - If this option is given plus Assets: View or Manage, they will only be able to see assets assigned to themselves. 
      • View Only: Branch(es) + Admin: Branches - if these options are given, plus Assets: View or Manage, they are able to see any assets that are attributed to their relevant branches.
      • View Only: Companies + Admin: Companies - These are our highest level of authorities within Engage and allow the employee access to all assets within the company. 

 

To assign an asset to an employee, click on Assets / Assets / "Edit" and check the 'Assign Employee' box to select the employee from the drop-down, and the date the asset was assigned to them. 

If you would like an employee to be in charge of ALL assets in the company, regardless of Admin authorities, you are able to set them up as the Company Asset Manager(s) contact. To do this, click on Customer Admin / Organisation / Companies / Edit, and add in as many employees as you would like to be able to manage the companies assets as required.
