How to find Hazardous Substance information on the Engage App

If your company has our Hazardous Substances module switched on, this is visible on both the web version of Engage, and the Engage app. 

To find Hazardous Substance information on the Engage App, you can scroll down on the main home page to find this button near the bottom of your app. 

Clicking on this button will show all substances that are available at your default branch. You are able to use the Search function to look for a specific substance as needed. 

If you wanted to view substances from another location, you can use the search filters button in the top right-hand corner of this page to show you the filters and adjust as required. You will need to click on 'Apply' to lock these in. 

Clicking View on a substance will show you more information about what it is, and any key details. 

If you scroll down on the Base Details page, you will find information that shows relevant PPE that needs to be used when using a particular substance (if required). 

The ERP button stands for 'Emergency Response Plans' and shows you a variety of scenarios that could potentially occur in relation to this substance, and the steps that need to be taken if that scenario occurs. There may also be documents attached to each Emergency Response Plan, which could have maps or diagrams that you can refer to as needed. 

The Usage Instructions section details guidelines on how to store, handle, segregate, and contain the particular substance correctly. 

If you needed to access the original SDS document, you can view this by clicking on the SDS / Documents button to bring this up on your smart phone.
