Navigating the Risk Register on the Engage App

A risk register is a list of all identified hazards that are found at each branch location, with an explanation of what they are, how dangerous they could be, and what control measures have been put in place by the business in an effort to reduce the overall risk of the identified hazard. 

As a rule of thumb, a Hazard is a mostly temporary risk that can be investigated and removed (EG loose wires on the ground that can be put away, or a wet floor that can be mopped), whereas risks that are on the risk register are mostly permanent hazards that have control measures put in place (EG working at heights, or manual handling). 

To learn more about setting up your Engage Risk Register, please click here. Note that only those with the Risk Register: Manage authority will have the ability to add / edit risks, whereas all other Engage users will be able to view it. 

To access the Risk Register on your Engage App, click on the View Risks button:

The risks that you see will default to the branch that you are assigned to. If you are looking for something specific, you can use the search bar to narrow down what you are after. If you wanted to view more information about a specific risk, you can click on 'View' to show more information. 

If you wanted to see risks that are associated with another branch, you can use the Filters button in the top right hand side of the listing page, and amend the drop-downs as needed. Once you are happy with your selection, you can click Apply to set the filter choices. 

When you View a risk, you will see information regarding what it is, where it is, and how dangerous it is: 

If you click on the Control button, this will show you a list of the control measures that have been put in place to minimise the risk.
