If you do not yet have the Engage App installed, click here to learn how to download the app onto your smartphone.
Actions are tasks that get assigned throughout Engage. To learn more about Actions and the various places that these can be assigned, please click
here.
You may have received an email that you have recently been assigned an action. You are able to view and change the status via the web login of Engage, but you can also do this on the Engage app.
To do this, click on the Your Actions button on the Engage app.
On the next page, the actions are split into the areas where they have been assigned from, this could include Forms, Incidents, outstanding Approvals, or Hazardous Substances to name a few. The number that is next to each section shows you how many actions are currently Open / In Progress. Note that you can only see your own actions on the app, you are unable to see anyone else's. If you would like a report on Actions, click
here to learn more.
Click on the relevant button to show a listing page with your assigned actions from each module. The action will show a short description, the full description, the due date and the status on the listing page.
If you wanted to see more information about the action, you can click on View to expand the information. If you were assigned a Form action, you will be able to download a PDF copy of the form via this page as well.
To amend the status or certain details of the action, you can click on Update. Please note that any changes made to the action will be captured in a Change Log that can be referred back to as needed.
If you have completed your action, you can change the Status to Complete, which will remove it from the listing page. You will be able to refer back to any completed actions as needed via the Actions tab on your employee bio when you log into the web portal of Engage.
If you are a manager, you may have Leave, Capex, Uniform or Expense Claims to approve. These can also be done via the Your Actions button on the Engage App.
To mark these as approved or declined, click View next to the applicable request to bring up more information. From here, you can Approve or Decline as needed. Please note, if you wanted to decline a request, you will need to provide a decline reason.
Once the approval has been completed, the request will be removed from Your Actions. The employee who made the request will receive an email notification and a data notification if they have the Engage App that lets them know if their request has been approved or declined.
If you have any other queries regarding Actions on the Engage App or any other areas of Engage, please contact support@engagesolutions.co.nz and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
