Critical Risks on the Risk Register

Identifying the critical risks in your Risk Register is essential for effective risk management. Critical risks are those that have the potential to cause significant disruption to project objectives, operations, safety, or compliance. Clearly marking these risks helps to prioritise mitigation efforts and ensures that they are escalated appropriately.

When creating a new risk, copying a risk, or editing a risk, if you check 'Critical Risk' to flag it as a critical risk within your business. 

Once a risk has been flagged as critical, it will appear on the listing page and the Engage app marked as a critical risk. 

You can also flag specific control measures as critical by checking 'Critical Control' next to each applicable control measure. Note that there is no limit on the number of control measures you can have against each risk. To add additional control measures, click on 'Add'. To remove a control measure, click on the red X next to the applicable control measure that you want to delete. 

Once a control measure has been flagged with Critical Controls, this will appear on the Risk Register listing page, and the Engage app, flagged with critical controls.
